ویر میرے ویر میرے

سارے ہی دن آ گئے

بس اک تو ہی نہ آیا

ویر میرے ویر میرے

چاند ستاروں نے روشن کیا ہے جہاں

میرے من کی روشن دنیا تھا بس تو

جو بچھڑ کے گیا تو ویران ہے وہ

ویر میرے ویر میرے

کل تک تھی دنیا آباد تیری

سنگ پھولوں کے رہتا تھا تو بھی

جو بھی ملا ان کو تجھ سے ملا

اب سارے کے سارے پچھتائے ہوئے ہیں

ویر میرے ویر میرے

کانٹوں کا رخ بدلا تھا تو نے 

ہواؤں سے درد بانٹا تھا تو نے

جب بھی ملا مسکراتا ہوا تو

غموں کی دھوپ میں چھاؤں ہوا تو

ویر میرے ویر میرے

سارے ہی دن آ گئے

بس اک تو ہی نہ آیا 

BTS: This poetry was written after the death of my beloved ''Mamu Shahid'' who was the youngest brother. I wrote this when my mother was talking to her sister on call and she said:

ویر میرے سارے ہی دن آ گئے بس اک تو ہی نہ آیا
this line hit my mind and I portrayed our emotions. May Allah Almighty shower His blessings upon him. (Ameen with Durood)
